1 And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, |  | 1 וַ֭יַּעַן בִּלְדַּ֥ד הַשֻּׁחִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ |
2 Dominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places. | | 2 הַמְשֵׁ֣ל וָפַ֣חַד עִמֹּ֑ו עֹשֶׂ֥ה לֹ֗ום בִּמְרֹומָֽיו׃ |
3 Is there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise? | | 3 הֲיֵ֣שׁ מִ֭סְפָּר לִגְדוּדָ֑יו וְעַל־מִ֝֗י לֹא־יָק֥וּם אֹורֵֽהוּ׃ |
4 And how should man be just with ùGod? Or how should he be clean that is born of a woman? | | 4 וּמַה־יִּצְדַּ֣ק אֱנֹ֣ושׁ עִם־אֵ֑ל וּמַה־יִּ֝זְכֶּ֗ה יְל֣וּד אִשָּֽׁה׃ |
5 Lo, even the moon is not bright; and the stars are not pure in his sight: | | 5 הֵ֣ן עַד־יָ֭רֵחַ וְלֹ֣א יַאֲהִ֑יל וְ֝כֹוכָבִ֗ים לֹא־זַכּ֥וּ בְעֵינָֽיו׃ |
6 How much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm! | | 6 אַ֭ף כִּֽי־אֱנֹ֣ושׁ רִמָּ֑ה וּבֶן־אָ֝דָ֗ם תֹּולֵעָֽה׃ |
